We started operations in Lao P.D.R 17 years ago, riding on the crest of a vibrant economy that grew around eight percent annually. We are proud to be part of that remarkable growth. HSMM is the 2nd biggest Indian Foreign Direct Investment group of companies in Lao PDR.
The HSMM Group of Companies is deeply rooted in Lao society; we are firmly committed to contribute to the wellbeing of the local communities through our various corporate social responsibility programs. When we mark our anniversary next year, it will be another milestone in our nearly two decades of existence in the country. We have a rich history in Lao PDR, and we have so much to look forward to in the coming years.
How a modest trading house I started in Dubai 24 years ago became a global conglomerate is a story that will remain fresh forever in our hearts. Life is a constant struggle, and we still face hard challenges. But the HSMM Group of Companies has been transformed from a fledgling company to a global conglomerate. The HSMM Group of Companies now steers and provides directions to five corporations, and we have attained a comfortable level of stability in our operations
Over the years, we have built solid partnerships with leading business groups in Lao P.D.R and North East India, and we never stopped looking for opportunities to expand our business. In our effort to propel growth, we blend company values with contemporary trends.
We launched several campaigns to demonstrate our commitment to share with the community and give back to nature the bounties we reaped through the years. Our commitment is absolute: we will ramp up our CSR efforts and organize more programs for the benefit of the people.
Our hearts swell with pride when we trace our growth from modest beginnings to become one of the largest companies in Southeast Asia, trading in agar wood and agar wood-based products. We have attained remarkable success, but we will not “rest on our laurels” as the saying goes. We are determined to rise to greater heights, and we assure our consumers worldwide of good-quality products and services.

Lao P.D.R is rich in mineral resources such as gold, silver, copper, iron and bauxite. Mining will play an important role in the social and economic development of Lao PDR and HSMM has started “general exploration activities” in some areas.
Looking ahead, I see exciting prospects, and I see wider collaboration with our patrons and partners in the next several years. Our record of success translates to exceed expectations. We are in a position to aspire for bigger things.
